About Us
The Founder
Deniz Marşan has spent over two decades at the intersection of fashion, styling, and creative direction. She began her career in the industry’s corporate side before becoming one of Turkey’s most sought-after stylists — working across landmark television productions, and co-founding ROOM, a creative consultancy spanning fashion, media, and brand collaborations.
In 2016, driven by a constant need to create, she founded DIRECT MESSAGE — starting with swimwear, and expanding into a full resortwear and ready-to-wear line. Her background as a stylist shaped everything: the fit obsession, the considered colour palette, the belief that a single well-made piece can carry you from the water’s edge to a restaurant floor without apology.
The Brand
DIRECT MESSAGE was born in London, built between Istanbul and the Mediterranean.
We design for the woman who moves through her summer with intention — who wants her swimsuit to work as hard as she does, and look as good at dinner as it did at noon. Our “beach to bar” philosophy isn’t a tagline. It’s the standard every piece is held to before it leaves our studio.
We don’t chase seasons. Instead, we build — adding new pieces, exclusive prints, and artisanal details to a growing body of work that’s designed to last for summers to come. Every print and pattern in our collection is custom-designed by Deniz herself — drawn from scratch and entirely exclusive to DIRECT MESSAGE. Each artisanal detail — a hand-embroidered edge, a coconut closure — is chosen because it means something, not because it trends.
Our fabrics are sourced from Carvico, Italy’s finest performance textile mills. Every piece is double-layered in the same premium fabric, inside and out — because the women who wear us deserve nothing less.
We also offer a limited men’s summer collection — the same considered aesthetic, the same premium construction, designed for him.
